Mindgarden
Inspired by 19th-century painters and their mastery in capturing the delicate interplay of luminosity, depth, and tone, I use digital tools to explore how that same visual richness might be achieved in a contemporary medium. At times, I work directly from fragments of historic paintings, experimenting with how the surface quality and tonal structures of classical art can be reinterpreted through digital tools. These works are not about replication, but discovery—a search for how, or even if, the digital image can evoke the physical presence and atmosphere once reserved for paint.
